INSURANCE & FEES

-NETWORK INSURANCE

Do We Accept network insurance?

Dr Ibeh Psychiatry does not accept In-Network insurance at this time. We have found that In-Network insurance limits our ability to provide high quality psychiatric care and we waste tremendous time and energy dealing with administrative issues that take our attention away from you and your treatment.  As a result, we are no longer accepting In-Network insurance clients.  We are considered an Out-Of-Network (OON) provider.  As a courtesy to clients, we will submit a claim for each visit to your Out-Of-Network insurance for reimbursement. However, we will not communicate with OON insurance providers as we need to keep our full attention on you and your treatment.

HOW CAN I LEARN MORE ABOUT WHAT MY INSURANCE COVERS?

Please call your insurance company and ask:

  • Do I have coverage for out-of-network mental health outpatient visits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • What percentage of mental health service fees are covered?
  • How many visits are covered in a calendar year?
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?

As of June 1, 2023 our fees are as follows.  Initial psychiatric evaluations (which are 45 to 60 minutes in duration) are rated at $450 and follow up visits (which include psychotherapy and are 30 to 45 minutes in duration) are rated at $350.  As with any industry, rates will change with the market over time.  In accordance with the “No Surprises Act” that went into effect January 1, 2022, you have the right to request a “Good Faith Estimate” of the expected cost of my services.  However, here is how treatment proceeds in most cases.  Most patients need 2 Consultation visits (1 week apart) and then 1-2 Follow Up Visits in the first 3 months of treatment.  Usually by the 5th-6th visit patients are largely doing well enough to be seen less frequently.  Stable patients are seen every 3-6 months (usually only 2-4 times a year) depending on the patient’s stability and therapeutic goals.

WHAT FORM OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

Presently we accept payment via credit card (including FSA/HSA), PaypalStripeZelle, and Venmo. All fees are due at time of service.
