At Dr. Ibeh’s office, the goal is to provide quality care in a time effective manner.  The initial visit includes 1-hour face-to-face time for a comprehensive evaluation.  Appointments will ordinarily be 30 – 45 minutes in duration for follow up visits.  Sessions are usually once every 1-12 weeks, at a time we agree on, although some sessions may be more or less frequent as needed. The time scheduled for your appointment is assigned to you and you alone.  If you are late for your appointment, we will work with the remaining time left during the scheduled appointment.  We will not extend the appointment time scheduled if you are late and you will be responsible for the entire session fee.  If you are more than 30 minutes late for the initial evaluation, the appointment will be canceled as there will not be enough time for a meaningful assessment.  For evaluations of minors, a legal guardian must be present during and consent to the evaluation.

Please be courteous and call Dr. Ibeh’s office promptly if you are unable to attend an appointment.  Dr. Ibeh’s Office will attempt to reallocate the appointment to someone who is in urgent need of treatment.  Available appointments are in high demand and your early cancellation may give another person the possibility to have access to timely psychiatric care.  If you cancel an appointment and that time slot can be filled by another patient, or Dr. Ibeh can reschedule your appointment for another slot she has available within the same week, then you will not be charged for the cancellation.  However, if the appointment slot can not be filled and your appointment can not be rescheduled that week, it is our policy to request payment for the canceled appointment.  If you cancel with less than 72 hours notice, we charge a Cancellation Fee of the cost of the session unless (1) it is due to an illness that prevents you from coming or a medical emergency that arises, (2) we are able to schedule another patient during your time slot, or (3) we are able to reschedule later that week.  If you provide more than 48 hours notice of a cancellation, we are usually able to reallocate the appointment to someone else and you will probably not be charged. If you give no notice and do not show up for your appointment, you will pay a No Show Fee rated at the full cost of the session.  If you have more than 3 Late Cancellations/No Shows, you may not be able to continue your treatment with Dr. Ibeh.  If you cancel your initial evaluation more than once, you will not be able to schedule another appointment with Dr Ibeh. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
